Literature Text

I

The Fool's Carriage rolls
Choosing its heroes each day
Where will it stop next?

II

The birds wake and caw
As the sun rises and shines
One more perfect day

III

Cornered by the fox
The hare leaps and lashes out
What's it got to lose?

IV

Webs of sly deceit
Embroideries of pretense
Spider spins each day

V

Give time its due time
The thunderstorm of anger
Just precedes the calm

VI

Precipitation--
Don't fumble with umbrellas
Just accept the rain

VII

Given its due chance
The peacock will raise its tail
Craving others' praise

VIII

Paranoia comes
Conspiring against you
They're out to get us

IX

Death walks with its scythe
All life wilting before it
Willingly or not

X

All people have roles
If life had begun by chance
It would have ended

XI

Listen to your call
You can't deny your mission
And still be fulfilled

XII

The beginner's luck
Every game gives new players
Tastes of victory

XIII

With its cold embrace
Snow preserves vegetation
Awaiting the spring

XIV

Cravings are surplus
All of life's necessities
Are within hand's reach

I will have to disagree with Uriah's comment. Something that is straightforward doesn't mean that it is going to be forgotten. Something simple can be complex, too much wrapping makes you lose the meaning and lets you wander off it. Yes, when something is straightforward is easier to comprehend but I don't believe that is wrong. Your ideas are strong and presented beautifully, i love the 5th and 6th ones personally. You've done a great job but that doesn't mean you won't have to keep trying until you get better. This piece is an absolute fave. Well deserved as well.
